The Policy Making Council for the Protection of Athletes against Harassment and Abuse in Sport and the National Olympic Committee intends to hold its first online workshop for the executive directors of the Olympic NFs on.
Iran NOA; Tehran: considering the importance
of supporting, ensuring the safety and health of national athletes as the heart
of the activities of Olympic organizations and the Olympic Movement and the
recommendations of IOC along with its special instructions, ordered by Dr.
Salehi Amiri, NOC President and supervised by Dr. Gharakhanlou, Director of the
National Olympic Academy, the Council for the Protection of Athletes against
Aggression and Abuse in Sports was established in 2017.
In the first step of implementing the executive
policies, the Council intends to hold the first introductory and explanatory
workshop for the executive directors of the Olympic federations and then to
expand its education for coaches, athletes and national team leaders.
The most important topics of the workshop
are: the goals and importance of forming the Athletes Protection Council,
concepts and guidelines of the International Olympic Committee for the
protection of athletes, the psychological, moral, cultural and religious
aspects of athlete protection, legal aspects of protection and related internal
processes.
