The 4th edition of Sport and Art Contest and Exhibition will hold from 10 to 15 December 2008 by the Cultural Studies and Museum Center of National Olympic and Paralympic Academy of I.R.IRAN.
This year Contest & Exhibition is being held in categories sculpture, painting, poster and cartoon on the theme of Olympic and Paralympic Sports to set an active synergy between the worlds of art and sport.
After the 2nd call for paper, brochure and poster which was sent to the artists, art universities, sports federations and the other art and sport organizations, contest organizing committee received 430 art works from 201 artists. They were evaluated and selected by members of jury after several meetings.The Exbition will be opened by the messages of IOC, IPC and I.R.IRAN NOC Presidents and in the presence of iranian Olympic and Paralympic Champions. The results will be announced during the Closing Ceremony.
The main purpose of organizing the 4th contest is to prepare an appropriate background for the 5th Sport and Art Contest in the international level.
In addition there is an exhibition of all received art pieces to show to the public coincide with contest.
