The 1st Congress on Sports Medicine was opened by the message of Minister of Health and Medical Education on 25 November 2008 in National Olympic and Paralympic Academy of I.R.IRAN.
This congress which was held in the presence of Mr. Mohammad Aliabadi, Iranian president of Physical Education Organization and NOC, Dr. Hamidi President of National Olympic and Paralympic Academy (NOPA) and 1500 doctors, specialists and university students aimed to develop sport for all in the country in order to increase physical and mental diseases result from industrialize the societies and lack of physical activities.
Following the congress, there are various specific workshops in the field of sports nutrition, message, sports medicine, BLS, Spirometry, Individual Health Evaluation and … from 26 to 28 November 2008 in NOPA. It is worthy to mention up to now some 5000 doctors people were registered to take part in the workshops.
