The 1st Residing Diplomats Futsal Tournament
Fajr Cup
This tournament which organized by Foreign Affairs Ministry of Iran in close collaboration with National Olympic Committee on 3, 4, 5 and 10, 11, 12 April in National Olympic and Paralympic Academy aimed to create further cooperation and friendship among the residing diplomats in Tehran.

There were 21 teams from Turkey, Japan, Ecuador, Russia, South Korea, Britain, Brazil, Uruguay, Mexico, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Tajikistan, Sudan, Venezuela, Kuwait, Oman, Emirate, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and three teams from Iran including NOC, Foreign Affairs 1 and Foreign Affairs 2.

 

For refereeing, Iranian well-known referees have been invited to judge the games.

Also an official closing ceremony organized in the presence of numbers of ambassadors, diplomats and high ranking sport authorities.

Mr. Mohammad Ali Abadi, president of the Iranian NOC who was one of the players in NOC team as well, during the ceremony stated:” Sport is an international language which blend different nations and create brotherhood and friendship among them”. The three winners team received their award during the closing ceremony.

 

This tournament was warmly welcomed by the embassies.

 

First place: Foreign Affairs 1

Second place: Tajikistan

Third place: NOC team
